This is my desk. This is obviously an old picture as the desk is not strewn with crap (yet the boxes as seen there are still sitting on the floor). My father is an architect and there is a strong tradition of "a door and two filing cabinets" workspaces. I believe the only horizontal surfaces in his house that do not follow this form are the kitchen counter and the dining room table (which, coincidentally, is a very large and old planning table that tilts like a drafting board and has a 50 year old patina of scratches and graffito from the school from which we "borrowed" it).
I masked out the stripes and painted with what is no doubt my favorite spraypaint (possibly bordering into obsession?) Krylon's Ultra Flat Black.
